Nepal - Hiking & Yoga Sept 2024

ONLY 1 PLACE LEFT

Namaste!

You are welcomed to Nepal by the colour and bustle of the medieval capital; Kathmandu.

The city's squares and architecture are richly inspired by Indian Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. Life here is lived on the streets providing endless interest as we explore the warren-like old town.

From Kathmandu we will travel to the lakeside town of Pokhara in central Nepal, known as the gateway to the Annapurna Ranges and part of the Himalayas - a perfect adventure escape.

The hike is 5 days of easy to moderate hiking, safe for anyone who is moderately fit. Our host, Greg, as a qualified yoga instructor, will offer (optional) daily yoga classes (when weather, venue and time permits) , no doubt followed by the optional beer on the tea house terrace!

We will return to Pokhara for a well-earned leisure day before flying back to Kathmandu.

This leaves us with the rest of the day free for sightseeing and shopping before the evening flight to Singapore en-route to Brisbane.

Our host, Greg is passionate about men's health and wellbeing. As a man in his 60s he's seen the best and the worst of what life has to offer and has the battle scars to prove it (metaphorically). Now he wants to show other men that there are ways to be kind to yourself.

Testimonials from the last trip in April 2023

Having not been to Nepal previously, I went with no expectations. We enjoyed interesting cultural experiences in Kathmandu and found the Nepalese to be very kind and gentle people. For me Kathmandu was as enjoyable as the trek, which was the main focus. We walked for 5-6 days(approx 1700m elevation climb), taking in some stunning scenery, and getting a good feel for local life in the mountains. Most days we ended with some Yoga, and every day some beers! The accommodation was simple but comfortable, and the tasty traditional food was more than adequate.
I would certainly recommend the trip with a group of like minded blokes. We had a blast!

Two of the most enjoyable weeks in a third world country, that one could have.  The trek on the Annapurna Circuit was challenging but not daunting with spectacular views.  Very well organised by Greg (who also included cultural tours) and the support provided by CP (Nepalese guide) and his team made the trip even more enjoyable with a round of Golf at the Himalayan Golf Club a highlight.  I thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and a taste for adventure

Andrew

The BrikMan Yoga Nepal trip was a great mix of trekking, relaxation, with some fantastic cultural and social activities as well. Our guides were brilliant and we stayed in some really nice tea houses, with lovely, super welcoming hosts. Doing yoga in the shadows of the Himalayas is something I will never forget! Overall a fantastic trip, highly recommended.

At 8,091m, Annapurna I is one of the highest mountains in the world. Its surrounding sister mountains are equally imposing and create magnificent panoramas from any view point. This hike is only in her foothills and covers relatively easy terrain, of lowland pastures and peaceful villages with stunning mountain views. On the hike we stay in mountain communities and meet friendly Nepali hill people as they go about their daily lives.
